Patrick C. Barthet
Patrick received his B.A. in 1968 from Fordham University, his M.A. in 1971 from New York University, and his J.D. in 1979 from the University of Miami School of Law. He enjoys the highest recommendation provided by Martindale Hubbell and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, as well as Florida's state courts. He currently serves as outside counsel to a number of local, national and international companies doing business in South Florida.
Patrick has held various leadership positions over the last forty years. He chaired the commercial practice of one of Miami’s most respected law firms; created a paralegal curriculum in 1985 which has since been used to educate thousands of students; and was elected President in 1986, 1992 and 2007 of the Executives’ Association of Greater Miami, the city’s oldest and most active business networking organization. Most notably, he opened his own firm in 1995, building it into the well regarded commercial and construction law practice it is today.
In 2008, Patrick was recognized by the President of the Republic of Malta and appointed Honorary Consul of this island nation where he was born. With jurisdiction over the State of Florida, he was asked to represent the interests of the Republic and its citizens, while also enhancing the business ties between Malta and the United States. |
