Jorge L. Cruz-Bustillo Jorge concentrates his practice on complex construction and commercial disputes. A 1992 graduate of Stetson University College of Law, Jorge obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida in 1989. He served in a variety of public sector positions in Tallahassee upon graduating from law school, and was lead regulatory counsel for one of the state’s largest communications carriers, handling matters before administrative panels, circuit and appellate courts, as well as Florida’s Supreme Court. A member of both the Southern and Northern District Courts of Florida, Jorge also currently serves as chairman of the Florida Elections Commission, appointed to that post by Governor Charlie Crist in 2007. In 2009, the Latin Builders Association placed Jorge on its “A” List of the top construction lawyers in South Florida.
