Alexander E. Barthet
Alex is Board Certified in Construction Law by the Florida Bar and directs this area of the firm’s practice, serving as litigation counsel to several statewide contractors and material suppliers. He has been a highlighted speaker at the annual Southeast Building Conference sponsored by the Florida Home Builders Association and his articles have appeared in the Construction Lawyer, American Bar Association Journal of the Forum on the Construction Industry; Building Florida; Southeast Construction; Construction Executive; and Florida Home Builder. Alex also sits on the Council of the Florida East Coast Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors.
He received his B.S. in mechanical engineering in 1995 after three and one half years of study at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, the oldest technological university in the nation. He obtained his J.D., with honors, from the University of Miami School of Law in 1999, and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in Washington, D.C., the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida and Florida’s state courts. |
