Alexander E. Barthet Alex directs the firm's construction law practice, serving as litigation counsel to several statewide companies in this industry segment. He has written and lectured on a variety of related topics including contract pitfalls, pay-when-paid provisions, claims of lien and payment and performance bonds. He received his B.S. in mechanical engineering in 1995 after three and one half years of study at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York and he obtained his J.D., with honors, from the University of Miami School of Law in 1999. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark office in Washington, D.C., the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and Florida's state courts.
